Draftsman

Job description

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project
requirements and objectives.
2. Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and diagrams using computer-aided design
(CAD) software.
3. Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings of structures, equipment, piping, electrical system
and other components related to the oil and gas project.
4. Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
5. Revise and update drawings based on feedback, design changes, or project modifications.
6. Assist in the preparation of material take-offs, bill of quantities, and other documentation as
needed.
7. Coordinate with onsite personnel to gather necessary information and ensure the accuracy
of drawings.
8. Participate in site visits and inspections to verify existing conditions and gather data for
drawing creation or modification.
9. Should have proficiency in collecting coordinates using GPS and incorporating in the
drawing preparation.
10. Should have in-depth knowledge in the preparation of piping and instrumentation diagrams
(P&IDs), isometric, plot plan, layouts, basic electrical drawings GA etc..
11. Maintain organized files and documentation of all drawings and revisions.
12. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clarity and accuracy in drawing
deliverables.
