Job description
















Key Responsibilities:




  1. Payroll Processing:



    • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including data input, calculations, and disbursements.

    • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing payroll for all employees, contractors, and other stakeholders.

    • Validate timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

    • Process adjustments, bonuses, and deductions accurately.




  2. Compliance Management:



    • Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.

    • Interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance with payroll practices.

    • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual reports.

    • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address compliance concerns and implement necessary changes.

    • Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processes.




  3. Record Keeping and Reporting:



    • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information in compliance with privacy laws.

    • Generate reports on payroll metrics, tax liabilities, and other relevant data as required.

    • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

    • Respond to inquiries from employees regarding payroll matters.




  4. System Management:



    • Utilize payroll software and systems to process payroll and generate reports.

    • Monitor system updates and enhancements, ensuring smooth operation and compliance.

    • Collaborate with IT or external vendors to troubleshoot system issues as needed.




  5. Continuous Improvement:



    • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency.

    • Implement best practices and recommend improvements to existing payroll systems and procedures.
