Overview: As a Press Tool Design Engineer in the automobile industry, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing press tools used in manufacturing processes. Analysis and Optimization: Conduct structural and thermal analyses to assess tool performance, identify potential issues, and optimize designs for durability, efficiency, and safety. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing engineers, production managers, and quality assurance personnel to ensure seamless integration of press tools into production processes. Prototype Development: Participate in prototype development and testing to validate tool designs, troubleshoot problems, and implement design improvements as needed. Cost Management: Evaluate material and manufacturing costs associated with press tool designs, and propose cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or performance. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus. Proven experience (X years) in press tool design within the automobile or manufacturing industry. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA for creating detailed tool designs and simulations. Strong understanding of metal forming processes, tooling materials, and manufacturing techniques. Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools for structural and thermal analysis. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
