Responsibilities: 1. Conduct laboratory tests on construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregates, steel, and others according to established procedures and standards. 2. Perform tests to determine material properties including but not limited to compressive strength, tensile strength, density, moisture content, grain size distribution, and chemical composition. 3. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments such as compression machines, sieves, ovens, moisture meters, and spectrometers. 4. Prepare test specimens and samples for analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with testing standards. 5. Record and analyze test data meticulously, documenting results, observations, and any deviations from expected outcomes. 6. Interpret test results and provide recommendations based on findings to ensure materials meet project requirements and quality standards. 7. Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and contractors to address material-related issues and implement corrective measures when necessary. 8. Assist in the development and improvement of testing procedures, protocols, and quality control measures. 9.
