Key Responsibilities: Equipment Management and Maintenance: Preventive maintenance: ● Developing and implementing a well Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule ● Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirements of all the electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems are undertaken. Corrective maintenance ● Effectively delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved to the right skills in the team, planning and managing effective works. ● Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and make recommendations for repair or replacement. ● Assist in the analysis of engineering design problems. Low Down Time ● Schedule both internal and external jobs to maximizing planned downtime ● Having corrective action plans ready and trained support personnel to be able to reduce unplanned downtime due to equipment malfunction. Recommendation of upgrades on equipment for efficiency: ● Plan the need and feasibility of additions, modifications and alterations to existing facilities and equipment. ● Participate in the design of such modifications to ensure modified/new equipment and installations are maintainable as per standards. ● Manage the process of the introduction of new machinery, plant and equipment from drawing up the specification, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant parties. Managing all documentation, AMCs, warranties, replacements, maintenance equipment: ● Maintain relevant documentation of all AMCs, warranties, replacements and maintenance equipment. ● Ensure renewals of AMCs at appropriate time. Engineering: ● Facilitate the application of principles and theories of manufacturing processes for the company's manufacturing facility ● Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts. ● Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment. ● Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures. ● Designing Prototypes during product development at Labs (when needed) ● Providing efficiency-based inputs to heads of departments
