Job description
1.Inhouse assembly(soldering) of PCBs. Rework of existing PCBs.
2.Keeping records of prototype PCBs, and maintaining a log of changes/reworks done on
each board.
3.Maintaining accurate records of test results, procedures, and equipment calibration.
4.Assist HW team in board bring-up activity. Perform section by section testing and
troubleshooting. Procure components needed for board bring-up, prepare test-setups,
load banks etc.
5.Perform BoM verification.
6.Assist the team in functional testing of the boards.
7.Troubleshooting and debugging of defective boards.
8.Prepare test setups for both FW and HW testing and assist in setup related activities.
Crimping, wiring, soldering, harness preparation, PCB probing, connecting
oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, current probe, to capture data, etc.
9.Identifying vendors and procurement of components (electronic parts - wires/
connectors/ crimps/ harness/ tools/ consumables)
10.Assist the team in EVT activities of the PCB. Carry out tests as per the test plan, capture
test results (Oscilloscope screenshots / DMM, Current clamp, readings, / Thermal
camera images, etc) and carry out documentation of the same.
11.Carry out thermal testing and HALTs.
12.PCB component creation in Altium 365.
13.Design Schematic + Layout for PCBs required for test setups in Altium.
14.Perform RCAs of issues/problems identified during testing.
15.Find alternatives for existing PCB components, especially SMD components.
16.Perform Potting of the PCBs in house using necessary tools.
17.Maintain 5S in the lab
