Job description

1) Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for lithium-ion battery components.

2) Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

3) Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure quality and reliability.

4) Prepare and process purchase orders for lithium-ion battery components and materials.

5) Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favourable deals.

6) Monitor market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.

7) Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to manage the importation of goods.

8) Ensure all import documentation is accurate and complete, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.

9) Manage customs clearance processes to prevent delays.

10) Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations and standards.

11) Stay updated on changes in import/export laws and regulations affecting lithium-ion battery components.

12) Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and documentation.

13) Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of components for production.

14) Work closely with the inventory management team to forecast demand and plan purchases accordingly.

15) Coordinate with shipping and logistics companies to arrange the transportation of goods.

16) Track shipments and address any issues that arise during transit.

17) Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

18) Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market conditions.

19) Analyse data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
