Mould Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop moulds for seating components according to customer specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing requirements.


• Utilize CAD software (such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD) to create detailed mould designs, considering factors such as part geometry, material properties, mould flow analysis, and tooling feasibility.


• Collaborate with Product Design Engineers, Tooling Engineers, and Manufacturing Engineers to optimize mould designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and performance.


• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential design challenges and propose innovative solutions to mitigate risks.


• Generate technical documentation, including 2D drawings, 3D models, bill of materials (BOM), and specifications for mould fabrication and assembly.


• Participate in design reviews, prototype testing, and validation activities to ensure that mould designs meet functional requirements and performance targets.


• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams during mould fabrication, tooling setup, and initial production runs, resolving any design-related issues that may arise.


• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mould design and manufacturing processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
