Responsibilities

End-to-End Procurement: Overseeing the entire procurement process, from sourcing to contracting

Supplier Management : Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, fostering strong and collaborative partnerships to guarantee a consistent supply of high-quality materials.

 Budget Management : Develop and manage the procurement budget, tracking expenses, and providing regular reports to management.

Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify & manage risks- supplier, market and financial risks 

Strategic Sourcing : Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure the timely and costeffective acquisition of materials, with a stringent view on local and international price & supply trends

Cost Optimization : Continuously evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining product quality and reliability.

Inventory Management : Implement effective inventory management practices to minimize excess or obsolete materials and ensure optimal stock levels.

Compliance : Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards as well as ethical and moral standards

Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Market Analysis : Stay updated on market trends and industry developments to make informed procurement decisions and identify opportunities for innovation

Skills & Experience

- Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer or Head of Procurement with at least 3-5 years in procuring one or more of the following raw material: Whey, Cocoa, Dates, Dry fruits 

- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market

- Experience in import of raw materials (food) in India and understands regulatory & compliance requirements for imports

- Good at negotiations and networking

- Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software

- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers

- Strong leadership capabilities
