Responsibilities:
You will be working on customer returned products to understand the issue, identify root cause and suggest corrective actions
Identify production quality issues and non-conformances and report them to supervisor
Monitor and analyze multiple sources of product and process data to ascertain potential requirements for product quality and reliability improvements and better customer experience
Work with CFT (Cross functional team) to track the progress of action implementation
Define test plans, build test setups, perform testing and record observations
Report observations, trends and finding to the engineers and CFT
Maintain proper documentation for each issue including Failure analysis report, test results and communication records
Perform test setup maintenance, keep workspace organized
Additional duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical engineering
Minimum of three years of experience preferred, Root Cause Analysis experience is a plus
Sound mechanical aptitude, good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly procedures, metrology, production quality, electromechanical systems and part drawings
Ability to diagnose the issues, understanding of basic failure analysis techniques (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, 8D, DOE, Fault Isolation)
Need good hands-on experience of assembly and disassembly
Experience of handling measurement tools such as Vernier caliper
Experience of product service or handling customer returns is a plus
Familiar with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Gmail and Windows OS
Ability to perform data analysis, data interpretation, graphical representation
Teamwork oriented player, good communication skills, ability to multitask
Punctual, willing to learn, attention to details, ability to accomplish task while working independently
