Backend Developer

Job description

Responsibilities:
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers.
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable Python modules
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Integration of data storage solutions - databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.
• Setup and handle multiple deployments and their configurations
• Design and deploy multiple types of databases
• Create and deploy API’s
• Strong will to take ownership and debug issues if needed, including during odd hours
Skills and Qualifications:
• 0 - 5 Years of experience, working on Python Web frameworks for building APIs like FastAPI (preferred), Flask, etc.
• Strong Experience in Python and DB (Postgres/MySQL) and their declarative query languages
• Understanding of async programming in Python
• Good experience in programming using ORM like SQLAlchemy
• Understanding of front-end technologies JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, HTML, and CSS3
• Knowledge of object-oriented Python programming
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Basic knowledge of AWS and Shell commands
