Role Overview: The Branch Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing the credit operations related to mortgage loans, housing finance, and Loan Against Property (LAP) at the branch level. This role involves evaluating credit applications, managing the loan approval process, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mortgage lending, housing finance, and LAP, combined with strong analytical skills and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Evaluation:
- Assess loan applications and the creditworthiness of potential borrowers for mortgage loans, housing finance, and LAP.
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements, credit reports, property evaluations, and other relevant data.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of credit applications.
Loan Approval Process:
- Coordinate with the sales team to gather necessary documentation for loan processing.
- Make informed recommendations for approval or rejection of loan applications based on credit analysis.
- Present loan applications to higher authorities for approval as per the company’s policies.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in loan applications and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor the loan portfolio for early signs of delinquency and take proactive measures to address issues.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal credit policies.
Customer Interaction:
- Interact with customers to clarify queries and provide guidance on loan processes related to mortgage loans, housing finance, and LAP.

- Educate customers about the terms and conditions of the loan products.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of all credit assessments and decisions.

Qualifications and Skills:
