Job description
The Network Engineer is a mid-level position that will play an active role in the build out and maintenance of Secureworks corporate network.
Role Responsibilities
Participate in projects focused on the implementation of network solutions that provide for scale and resiliency.
Maintain and enforce network standards with regards to device configuration, routing protocols, device installation, etc
Optimize network performance through monitoring, timely upgrade of network devices and troubleshooting of network faults that focus on root cause.
Maintain platform documentation.
Work incident and requests for service within SLA as needed.
On-call as required.
Requirements
5 years of experience in a role as a network engineer
Working experience and understanding of network and routing principles (OSPF, BGP, etc)
Working experience and understanding of switching concepts (STP, 802.1q, QoS, CLI) in a multi-vendor environment.
Working experience and understanding Firewall concepts( Cisco,Palo Alto etc)
Working experience and understanding of DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc
Experience with vendor management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong understanding of change management processes.
Experience with complex network troubleshooting.
Preferences
Exposure to Dell networking technologies.
Experience with public clouds.
