Job Title – Principal - AI/ML Engineering
As a Principal ML Ops Engineer AI/ML, you will be part of the Data Advanced Analytics Platform Product Area within Workplace Solutions Business unit.
The Purpose of This Role
As part of WI Technology, we are seeking a highly motivated ML Ops Engineer to join our AI/ML team where you will become a key player i
n a large-scale transformation effort to move towards a more Data/AI powered organization. In this role, you will partner with data scientists to architect and implement AI, ML and NLP solutions for a variety of use cases using open-source frameworks and cloud provider services.

As a Principal ML Ops Engineer, you will be responsible for
• Become a critical team member in a large-scale transformation effort and move towards a Data/AI powered organization.
• Participation in architectural council and sub-committees for advancement for AI architectural practices.
• Partner with extended architecture teams, including Data, Cloud, Cyber, and API, to ensure alignment for all cross-technology blueprints and strategic decisions.
• Providing mentorship to junior team members.
• Automating repetitive manual business processes using AI/ML/NLP
• Using frameworks to help detect data/concept drift, interpretability, explainability & fairness of ML models
• Building or using feature stores that promotes sharing of data & features among different ML models
• Extensive experience working in the AWS environment
• Hands on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment [CICD]
• Partnering with architects, data scientists and data engineers to build platform centric capabilities.
• Resolving issues in production and non-production environment and perform troubleshooting.
• Excellent presentation, documentation, communication and influencing skills to present/influence technology direction in business context to our partners
• Very strong technical capability to learn and adjust to new technologies and cloud trends
The Skills that are Key to this role
Technical / Behavioral
• Proven expertise with AWS ML ecosystem tool: Sagemaker.
• Familiarity with data version control systems (e.g., Git, DVC), orchestration/DAGs tools (like Airflow, Kubeflow), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins or equivalent) and MLOps platforms (for example, MLFlow, ModelOp, Seldon).
• Extensive experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and container-orchestration systems, notably Kubernetes.
• Proven track record in operating parallel distributed systems such as Apache Spark, Flink, etc.
• Solid background in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) involving Java, Scala, Python, Unix scripting or similar languages. Familiarity with parts of Python’s machine learning ecosystem (numpy, panda, sklearn, tensorflow, huggingface) is beneficial.
• Experience working with NLP based algorithms such as BERT, ALBERT and deep learning algorithms such as AutoEncoders, etc.
• Foundational knowledge on LLM implementations is helpful.
• Strong experience in programming languages such as Python, Java

How Your Work Impacts the Organization
The Workplace Investing Engineering team is looking for a Principal ML Ops Engineer to join our team to help deliver customer facing AI models into production. You will partner your teammates on the development team and peer data scientists to develop data pipelines for feature engineering, deploy models to production and develop model measurement capabilities.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
• A Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field is required.
• Cloud certification in Azure, AWS or other cloud providers is a plus
• Extensive experience with 2 or more programming languages (Java, Python, etc.)
• 10+ years of IT experience with 3+ years of extensive experience on Cloud platform and cloud technologies/services
Location: EGL, Bangalore
Shift timings: 11:30 am - 8:00pm
