Job SummaryThe Quality and NPD Specialist in Aerospace is responsible for overseeing the quality assuranceprocesses and driving the development of new aerospace products. This role ensures that newproducts meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry and aligns with customer andregulatory standards. The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams includingengineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure product excellence and innovation.Key Responsibilities1. Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance strategies and processes for new aerospaceproducts. Conduct thorough inspections and testing of new products to ensure compliance withindustry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Identify and address quality issues and non-conformities throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and improveproduct quality. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).2. New Product Development: Participate in the design and development phase of new aerospace products to ensurethey meet quality and performance standards. Work closely with engineering teams to understand product specifications and designrequirements. Conduct risk assessments and reliability testing to validate product performance andsafety. Support the development of prototypes and coordinate testing and validation procedures. Ensure that new products comply with aerospace regulations and customer requirements.3. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation related to quality processes, testing results, andproduct development activities. Prepare and present reports on quality metrics, product performance, and developmentprogress to stakeholders. Ensure proper documentation of compliance with regulatory and industry standards.4. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in both quality assurance and productdevelopment. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance product quality anddevelopment efficiency. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the team.5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments including engineering, manufacturing, and supplychain to ensure seamless product development and quality management. Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams to address quality concernsand development challenges. Act as a liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure alignment onproduct requirements and quality expectations.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, QualityAssurance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in quality assurance or product development withinthe aerospace industry. Proven experience with quality management systems and standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO9001). Experience with new product development processes, including design, prototyping, andtesting.Skills: Strong understanding of aerospace industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
