Job Summary:
The B2B Manager in Broking is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with business clients and stakeholders in the broking space. The role requires managing existing accounts, sourcing new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth through tailored broking solutions. The B2B Manager must demonstrate a deep understanding of market trends, client needs, and broking services to create value-added propositions for corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Business Development:
- Identify, develop, and secure new B2B opportunities in the broking industry.
- Build relationships with corporate clients, ensuring their needs are met with bespoke broking solutions.
- Proactively pursue leads and opportunities to expand the business network.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop effective sales strategies.
Account Management:
- Manage and nurture long-term relationships with existing business clients.
- Serve as the key point of contact for clients, understanding their broking requirements, and providing solutions.
- Handle contract negotiations, renewals, and ensuring high client satisfaction.
- Conduct regular reviews and analysis to identify areas for improvement and business growth.
Market & Industry Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to adapt business strategies accordingly.
- Provide feedback on product development and client needs to enhance service offerings.
- Develop insights and reports on business growth, client performance, and market trends.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with internal teams (operations, risk, product, etc.) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Engage with insurance companies, reinsurance brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction flows.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external industry partners to explore collaborative business opportunities.
Sales Target Achievement:
- Meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets set for B2B broking operations.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan that aligns with business objectives.
- Manage and track performance metrics, pipelines, and reporting for forecasting and progress tracking.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all sales activities and client engagements comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and manage risks associated with broking operations, working with internal risk and compliance teams.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in B2B sales, preferably within the broking or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of broking processes, insurance products, and corporate solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and financial reports.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
