The Regional Collection Manager will
be responsible for overseeing and managing the collection activities across a
designated region for Muthoot Finance.



The role focuses on ensuring timely
recovery of loans, reducing non-performing assets (NPAs), managing a collection
team, and implementing effective strategies to optimize collections in
compliance with regulatory guidelines.



Key
Responsibilities:




  1. Collection Strategy & Execution:


    • Develop and implement strategies for effective loan
      recovery and reduction of NPAs.

    • Analyze delinquency trends and provide insights to
      improve collection processes.

    • Oversee the performance of collection teams to ensure
      timely and accurate recovery.


  2. Team Management:


    • Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of regional
      collection teams.

    • Set performance targets and provide necessary training
      to collection officers.

    • Conduct regular meetings and reviews to ensure
      alignment with organizational goals.


  3. Debt Recovery:


    • Handle escalations of complex cases and collaborate
      with legal teams for recovery through legal actions if required.

    • Engage with clients for debt negotiation and
      settlement to maximize recovery.

    • Monitor compliance with RBI guidelines and internal
      policies.


  4. Reporting & Analysis:


    • Prepare and present weekly/monthly reports on collection
      performance, NPAs, and recovery status.

    • Analyze and evaluate the collection performance across
      different branches within the region.


  5. Stakeholder Collaboration:


    • Coordinate with branch managers and other stakeholders
      to ensure smooth functioning of the collection process.

    • Work closely with the credit risk and operations teams
      to understand and resolve issues impacting collections.


  6. Compliance & Risk Management:


    • Ensure all collection activities are in strict
      compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

    • Identify risks associated with non-recovery and
      suggest mitigative actions.




Required
Skills & Qualifications:




  • Proven experience of 12+ years in collections or
    recovery management, preferably in financial services or banking.

  • Strong knowledge of debt collection regulations, RBI
    guidelines, and legal frameworks.

  • Leadership experience in managing large teams and
    regional operations.

  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving
    skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal
    skills.

  • Proficiency in using collection management systems and
    reporting tools.



Educational
Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration,
    or a related field (Master's degree is preferred).



Location:
Varies based on the regional assignment.

and legal frameworks in financial recovery.
