Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance & Control:
o Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products to
ensure compliance with quality standards.
o Monitor production processes to identify and address quality issues promptly.
o Implement and maintain quality control procedures, including sampling, testing, and
inspection protocols.
o Oversee and perform laboratory testing of flour and spice products for various
parameters (e.g., moisture content, granulation, microbial content, etc.).
o Ensure that all quality-related records and documents are accurately maintained and
updated.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with local and international food safety standards (such as FSSAI,
HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.).
o Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits to verify adherence to regulatory
requirements.
o Prepare reports on quality issues, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance for
management review.
3. Continuous Improvement:
o Support the Quality Manager in identifying areas for improvement in quality control
processes.
o Participate in root cause analysis of quality defects and implement corrective and
preventive actions (CAPA).
o Collaborate with production teams to promote quality awareness and training.
4. Customer
Complaint Resolution:
o Assist in investigating customer complaints related to product quality and work on
resolution plans.
o Document customer feedback and implement changes to prevent recurrence of issues.
5. Health & Safety:
o Ensure that health and safety protocols are followed within the quality control lab and on
the production floor.
o Maintain a safe working environment and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in quality assurance/control in a food manufacturing
environment, preferably in flour or spices.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FSSAI).
Familiarity with quality control methodologies, laboratory testing, and equipment.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other softwares.
